A recent Study attempted to investigate the effects of English talking flashcards as teaching materials on vocabulary learning of young children. The study was conducted in one of the public preschools in Istanbul with 48 children aged between 4 and 6 from two classes.

The first group were instructed using English talking flashcards, while the second group were given normal teaching materials. The vocabulary test results showed that the group with the English talking flashcards performed much better on both receptive and productive vocabulary.
